Corporate Member of the Year
The business should contribute significantly and consistently to the advancement and recognition of The Magnificent Mile through service to the Association. Service recognized through financial support, volunteer efforts and in-kind products or services.

Development of the Year
Renovation or development must follow the guidelines set forth by the Planning & Advocacy division of The Magnificent Mile Association. Renovation or development must contribute significantly to the enhancement and/or recognition of The Magnificent Mile Neighborhood. Must be a development or renovation located in one the communities of The Magnificent Mile district.

Walgreens
With two locations on The Magnificent Mile including in the iconic Wrigley Building, Walgreens has been a Member and consistent supporter of The Association and the community it serves - for decades. Year after year, Walgreens continues its tradition as a longtime, leading sponsor of the BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. In addition to financial support, Walgreens faithfully supports numerous activities and events. Walgreens also provides high-level leadership through its active participation in the Association’s governance and advocacy programs.
Chicago Architecture Center
The new Chicago Architecture Center (CAC), moved to its new location in the heart of the City of Chicago in August, 2018. The CAC occupies 20,000 square feet in the building above the dock for the Chicago Architecture Foundation Center River Cruise, aboard Chicago’s First Lady. There it is the hub and gateway for discovering how Chicago architects have influenced the world. It’s location at 111 East Wacker Drive is significant in that the pioneer of Modernist architecture, Mies van der Rohe designed the building. The new CAC features custom-designed spaces for tours, education and public program and nearly 10,000 square feet of space for its innovative exhibits. Since its establishment in 1966 CAC has become one of the largest cultural organizations in the Chicago and is a destination for visitors from throughout the world.
Z Bar - The Peninsula Chicago
Set above the Magnificent Mile is The Peninsula Chicago’s – Z Bar. This innovative destination celebrates Chicago while guiding guests through a culturally diverse, curated program for cocktails, cuisine and music. Z Bar is the result of a two-year renovation that was thoughtfully planned and executed with excellence and the guest experience in mind. The interiors have been thoughtfully designed to surprise and delight, while conveying a level of luxury that is a hallmark of The Peninsula Hotels. The space, with its exciting, outdoor terrace, provides a stunning canvass for Z Bars internationally recognized and exceptionally crafted cocktails and cuisine.
Walt Chadick, Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co.
Walt Chadick, Executive Director at Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co. has served as a member of the Executive Committee of The Association’s Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the Marketing Division. A longtime volunteer and supporter of the BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, Walt has served as the event Chairman for the past two years. In doing so, he brought his expertise as a transportation executive to the fore front in support of this civic event. Additionally, his enthusiasm and dedicated leadership inspired the committee and hundreds of volunteers throughout the planning and implementation process to ensure its continued success.
