Blue Man Group, continuing its open run at Chicago’s Briar Street Theatre (3133 N. Halsted), will welcome colder temperatures with added performances for the holiday season and 2019 winter months. The expanded performance schedule includes four New Year’s Eve performances as well as performances on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day. Blue Man Group’s Chicago production recently debuted new moments featuring new instruments, technologies and audience interactions. The expanded winter performance schedule will provide audiences with more opportunities to experience the new content.

 

Blue Man Group will ring in 2019 with four special performances Monday, December 31. Families can celebrate New Year’s Eve early with Blue Man Group’s kid-friendly performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Children will be transformed into members of Blue Man Group’s band with pre-show face painting. Other festivities include a “midnight” countdown after the show, complete with party hats and noisemakers, as well as a special performance of “Auld Lang Syne” by the Blue Men.

 

Blue Man Group will continue to celebrate the New Year with additional performances at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Guests of the 7 p.m. performance can enjoy a celebratory champagne toast and festive party hats. The 10 p.m. show audience will also experience a spectacular New Year’s Eve countdown party complete with noisemakers, a midnight champagne toast, confetti drop and performance of “Auld Lang Syne” by the Blue Men.
