Bottleneck Management announces the remodel of its Michigan Avenue dining destination, Sweetwater Tavern and Grille (225 N. Michigan Ave.). In anticipation of its 10 year anniversary, the modern American restaurant celebrates with a major refresh of the interior space and reimagines the restaurant’s substantial outdoor patio space.

Sweetwater is scheduled to close its doors the week prior to Christmas and will be closed through the end of February, to re-open just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness.

The renovation includes creating a brighter and more airy space, featuring more stainless steel and varied seating options, an overhaul of the main bar, updated ceiling treatments, and more. The restaurant menu will remain modern American with an extensive craft beer list, seasonal cocktails, and an upbeat atmosphere.

“It’s exciting to be able to take what we have learned from our 15+ restaurants over the years and apply it to one of our most successful restaurants on Michigan Avenue,” says Angela Zoiss, Vice President of Marketing for Bottleneck Management. “Sweetwater’s renovation will breathe new life into the space and kick off our 10th anniversary as a Chicago hot spot with a fresh new look.”

Bottleneck Management has added an additional 10 years to Sweetwater’s lease, for a total of 15 more years in the dynamic space in the heart of Michigan Avenue. Bottleneck Management continues its rapid growth with more national expansion plans, including opening seven locations of its City Works concept in 2019.
