DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile today announced the launch of the first Five Feet to Fitness rooms in Chicago, a convenient way for guests to exercise in the privacy of their rooms with more than 11 different pieces of equipment. These rooms are part of a $35 million hotel transformation that includes renovated guest rooms, lobby arrival experience, meeting space and rooftop pool and terrace, in addition to the launch of a new lobby bar and restaurant, HotHouse, as well as the grab-and-go Made Market.

Located two blocks from Michigan Avenue and Magnificent Mile, return guests will notice the upgrades upon arrival, with a lively new open-concept lobby. Guests can relax and socialize over cocktails and some of Chicagoland’s best craft beer at the new HotHouse restaurant and bar featuring a communal feel. Incorporating locally sourced ingredients, HotHouse offers light fare met with the excessive indulgences that founded the Chicago food scene. HotHouse diners will enjoy sweet and savory plates meant for sharing, such as Chef Emo’s Signature ¾ pound meatball served with fresh crushed tomato-basil gravy and house made ricotta or one of our signature DoubleTree Cookie desserts. Guests looking for grab-and-go can also stop by the new Made Market for freshly brewed Starbuck’s Coffee and a variety of ready-made sandwiches and salads.

The transformed guestrooms feature a fresh blue and grey color palette and wood furniture, contrasting against white amenity centers. While in-room artwork pays tribute to Chicago’s great architectural masterpieces, guests can experience Chicago from the comfort of the new built-in upholstered window seats. For wellness enthusiasts looking for a convenient way to work out when on the road, guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile can book Five Feet to Fitness rooms. These rooms offer 11 different types of fitness equipment and accessory options in-room, including an indoor bike and a dynamic Gym Rax functional training station that delivers unlimited strength, core and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) style workouts to guests via a digital kiosk.

Featuring 16,000 square feet of meeting space and increased internet bandwidth, the hotel offers the new and magnificent LaSalle Ballroom that can seat up to 300 guests, with its foyer the perfect spot for a cocktail reception or exhibit space. Guests looking for a larger open-flow gala or conference can even combine LaSalle Ballroom with the State Room to span more than 9,000 square feet and hold 500 guests. Event attendees can easily access the LaSalle Ballroom through the grand spiral staircase that connects the lobby to the ballroom foyer. Those looking for an outdoor venue for a wedding or party will enjoy the breathtaking views of the city skyline from the renovated rooftop pool deck.

“From our new restaurant concept to beautifully renovated guestrooms, we’re excited to offer an elevated experience for both business and leisure travelers at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile,” said Eric Thieling, General Manager. “With our upscale meeting and events spaces, we look forward to welcoming the community as they host gala events, weddings and conferences.”
