Joint Training: Chase Tower Full Scale Active Threat Training Exercise

Chase Tower will be hosting a simulated active threat exercise on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 8am to 6pm. The training will involve street closures, simulated gunfire and a large presence of emergency service personnel.  Please inform your members/constituents about this training as it may impact traffic or access to certain areas/streets during the exercise. Details are listed below. 

 

Type of Exercise: Active Threat Response

Location: Chase Tower – 10 S. Dearborn

Dates/Times: Sunday, 12 January 2020 0800hrs to 1800hrs

Lead Agencies: Chicago Police Department and Chicago Fire Department 

 

Description:

This is a joint training exercise between the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management and Communications and Chase Tower. The exercise will simulate an active threat occurring in the building. The immediate area will involve a large presence of emergency service personnel and vehicles as well as simulated injuries and simulated gunfire throughout the event.

 

Street Closures: (1300-1600hrs):

Dearborn – Madison to Monroe

Clark – Madison to Monroe

Madison – Clark to Dearborn

Monroe – Clark to Dearborn

 

The OEMC's Operation Center will monitor this event accordingly.
