With a new look, ETA Restaurant + Bar, located inside Loews Chicago Hotel, announces new fall arrivals including a new a new partnership with Revolution Brewing, food menu, beverage program, and updated private dining rooms. 

As an homage to Chicago’s long history of hosting travelers from around the world, ETA welcomes visitors and locals alike. Décor items nod to the city’s rich transportation history and evoke an air of the Golden Age of Travel.  ETA’s warm, wood-ensconced dining room captures the essence of Chicago’s first and finest inns and taverns.  A locally sourced, seasonally inspired menu takes inspiration from rustic meals of the past with an innovative spin of today.


Revolution Collaboration
Loews Chicago Hotel has partnered with Revolution Brewing to create an exclusive collaboration beer, Zephyr, which is exclusively available at ETA. Zephyr, a low ABV beer (4.8%) combines the golden hops used in Revolution’s multi-award winning Cross of Gold with a new hop variety. The result is mild and crisp with a delicate hop finish.

To celebrate the new arrival of Zephyr, a brewmaster from Revolution Brewing will be at ETA on the evening of October 26. Diners will have the opportunity to interact with the brewmaster, asking questions and learning pairing suggestions.

Additionally, on October 26 only, growlers of Zephyr will be 50% off and additional Revolution beers will be 20% off (regularly $38).

New Food Menu

Restaurant Chef Matt Lange has created a menu that draws inspiration from classic tavern and inn favorites and has added an elevated spin. His culinary vision for the restaurant is seasonal, rustic American cuisine with global influences. His approach is to showcase creative and inventive flavor profiles, while presenting dishes in a refined yet approachable way.

The menu will be comprised of Starters, Mains, Handhelds, and Sides. Sample menu items include: 

Pot Roast Poutine
fingerling potatoes, cheese curds, stout onion gravy

Avocado Toast
citrus salad, ‘ndjua, soft egg

Chicken Fried Mushrooms
green goddess, pickled green beans

Bone-in Pork Chop
apple compote

Chicken + Dumplings
roasted half chicken, herb dumplings, homestyle gravy

Fish + Chips
coleslaw, tavern tartar sauce

New Beverage Program

The railway has been an integral mode of transportation to and from Chicago since the mid-nineteenth century. Chicago’s first railroad connection was completed in 1848. By 1860, the city was home to 11 rail lines. 

The cocktails at ETA pay tribute to the railway lines and trains that helped to make Chicago the transportation hub it is today. Sample featured cocktails include:

Portland Rose
Hendrick’s Gin, rose liqueur, Alma Negra Sparkling Rosé, simple syrup, strawberry puree

Broadway Limited 
Knob Creek Rye, Sottano Malbec, lemon juice, simple syrup

Wake Up Cup
Cruzan Aged Rum, Cynar, Intelligentsia Cold Brew, simple syrup, egg white, Angostura bitters

In addition to hand crafted cocktails, ETA will allow diners to take their taste buds on a journey around the world. Designed by country, the wine menu features selected varietals from countries around the world. The beer menu features draft and bottled beers from down the street to across the pond. 

Private Dining Updates
With two private dining room options, ETA can accommodate private groups up to 192 people. The Pullman Room can accommodate groups up to 120 and The Dining Car can accommodate groups up to 72. Both private dining spaces offer a unique space featuring neutral colors and natural lighting. 

Chef Lange’s seasonal, rustic menu provides guests with American comfort food with a modern spin and global influences. The event spaces can be accessed from the restaurant’s separate entrance, so guests do not need to go through the hotel lobby. ETA’s private dining is ideal for special occasions and celebrations.
