Colorful Fall Gardens Are Blooming On The Magnificent Mile!

Beautiful mums of all colors, decorative cabbages, and plump pumpkins have replaced the summer plantings in the parkway gardens along The Magnificent Mile®. This year, we are pleased to see many gardens maintain sustainable plantings that are able to survive through varied weather conditions and seasons.

The Fall 2017 Magnificent Mile® Beautification Walk was conducted in early October by members of the Association’s Public Way Committee. The scores for all of the properties are not just based on the beautiful landscaping but also include the cleanliness and condition of the building facades, parkway trees, sidewalks and planter railings.

The scores were tallied and the winning Fall 2017 property is:

1. 625 N. Michigan Avenue/Golub Realty Services
Landscape Contractor:  Clarence Davids & Company

Rounding out the top five scoring properties for the Fall 2017 season are:

The Public Way Committee would like to thank all of the property owners, building managers and landscape contractors for their commitment to maintaining and enhancing the beauty of The Magnificent Mile District.

We would also like to thank the Woman’s Athletic Club Chicago, 626 N. Michigan Avenue for graciously hosting a breakfast and committee review meeting after each beautification walk this year.
